From your homebase of Cusco, start your Sacred Valley journey in Pisac, exploring the impressive Inca ruins nestled in the hillside. A leisurely 2-mile hike will take you through ancient terraces, temples, and tombs with stunning views of the valley below. Afterward, enjoy some time at the Pisac Market, where you can shop for traditional Andean crafts and textiles.
In the afternoon, head to Ollantaytambo, one of the best-preserved Inca towns. Hike the 1.5-mile trail to the Sun Temple, passing steep agricultural terraces and learning about the town’s role as a military, religious, and agricultural center during Inca times. Stroll through the cobbled streets of Ollantaytambo before heading back into Cusoc to settle in for the night.

On day two, embark on a scenic journey to Chinchero, where you’ll visit the colonial church and hike the terraces of this highland town. After a brief exploration, head to Moray, where a 2-mile hike will take you around the circular terraces once used for Inca agricultural experiments.
From Moray, hike or drive to Maras to see the stunning salt mines still in use today. The salt ponds shimmer in the sun, creating an otherworldly landscape that’s perfect for photos.
Afterward, make your way to Urubamba for a well-deserved break. This peaceful town is the perfect spot to relax and unwind, with options for a farm-to-table lunch or a visit to local pottery workshops. This day packs in the cultural and natural wonders of the Sacred Valley, leaving you with a full heart and unforgettable memories. Afterwards, we head back to Cusco.
